6th Day of the Protest, International medias like Aljazeera in the Maldives covering the event

People have started again tonight for the 6th day of the protest. This is never going to end unless the government listen to the concerns of the people. People doesnt want Maldives to reclaim lands and do huge expenses at a time where the country dont have any money.

On one side the president wants Maldives to be one of the best model for Carbon Neutral, this doesnt come free and a lot of money is involved. While at the same time, the president of Maldives wants to give projects to huge companies sell our islands and make miracles over here which costs a lot of money again. he have launched a project names THE EYE OF MALDIVES on a near by lagoon, which is estamated billions of dollars and at the same time reclaiming land from Thilafushi (the island which has been allocated for industrial use). The tender for this project was given to Mr. Nasheed's party MDP's parliamentary group leader Mr. Moosa Manik. Last but not least. a company named MEGA MALDIVES has been formed by the person who was appointed by  the president at head of Foreign investments. He is the brother of Maariya Ahmed Didi (Chairperson of MDP).

At the same time, the government has implemented huge taxes on various sectors while the wages of government employees was reduced and the prices of essential goods has increased due to the immediate increase of USD rates. The president of Maldives makes decisions in an overnight while the local small and medium businesses are not aware of this at all. Meantime, the public hits everything so fast that the people were forced to come out on the roads and ask answers for what is going on.

Human Rights Commission of Maldives calls Police , Media Political Parties not to stand against the people's who have been protesting

Human Rights Commission of Maldives calls Police , Media Political Parties not to stand against the people's who have been protesting. They mentioned that every Maldivian has the right to protest, and express their feelings with freedom. Human Rights Commission called the police not attack the people who are protesting, and to handle things with caution.

However, the police attacked the people even last night not even with a prior notice or warnings. Police have been beating the people who are against the government.

National Team Key Player Assad beaten-up by the Riot Police

5th Day of the Protest, the key person which the Police targeted to catch has been beaten and caught. The famous footballer Assad (Adubarey) has been beaten like hell by the riot police and he have been seriously injured and unconsious.  The Football Association of Maldives and the key management of his team VB is currently present at the Hospital (IGMH) in Male'.

Its said that Adubarey's is in serious condition. So that Management of VB has decided to take him away tonight straight to Colombo, Srilanka for further treatment.

5th Day of the Protest

People have started the protest for the fifth night. We can clearly see some youth in front. Some of them are considered as heroes by this nation. Among them, we can clearly see the Famous National Soccer Team Player Assad (Adubarey). He has stoodup against this government. Many of his fans and supporters are with him.

But no unrest, Police is ready and with full riot gears near Artifical Beach facing the crowd. We really cannot understand the reason why the Maldives Police cannot understand that the people of this Nation has every right to protest, we do have the freedom of expresssion. But, like the past. We are still seeing the same picture , same day , with different people as leaders. These new people who taught us what freedom was , cannot accept when we express our feelings. No no, no way, people has to listen to feelings. We will not give up.

4th Day of the Protest, Police Brutality Increased

Its the 4th Day of the Protest here in Male'. The brutality of Police has increased. While President Nasheed is having a Ceremony of his party at the Artificial Beach to mark congrulate the party's newly elected president Dr. Didi (Former Fisheries Miinster, who was chased out of his job ruled by a no confidence vote from the parliament).

9.30pm , people has gathered near the same place. And the police has started beating the people the same way which they have been doing it in the past. Tear Gas, Pepper Spray, beating ... not even looking to young, old or even women and whildren. Who away comes their way are beaten badly.

The Youth of this Nationa has initiated on this protest , and reports say that they will not end this unless the government clearly listen and respond to the issue of prices risen on essential goods.

11.30pm, MDP Parliamentary Group leader Mr. Moosa Manik (Reeko Moosa), Ahmed Shamah Rasheed (Dept. Mayor of Male'), Mr. Afeef (Home Minister) is heading to confront the public who have been protesting. Reeko Moosa and Shamah are on a lorry with lound speakers, along with them on the lorry there is a high profile criminal with them (Alexander Nasheed, Ma. Arrow Villa) who have been noted in the public for robbery and as a gangstar on several fights.

We are seeing the real picture of Maldives, this is what the world should know. Maldives have been unrest since the elction of Mr. Nasheed as the president. Drugs and Violence has increased, no one is safe here in the Maldives.

Police beat-up an OLD MAN breaking his leg

Police brutality has increased and the force has been fully trained to attack the people of this nation. Not for the protection. The brutality and beating has gone beyond the limit of people's expectations.

The old man shown on the image was attacked by a force of morethan 50 police man. The person will be morethan 65 years in age and was watching the protest on the road. He has his own freedom like anyone else. Now, the president Nasheed has passed his limit.

Nasheed is the elected president to guide, to serve and to protect the people of this Nation. Not a person elected to attack and kill the people of this Nation. Eventhough he likes it or not, he has to treat fairly to everyone and anyone of this Nation. Nasheed has forgotten the size of his shoes which he has been wearing, and we think the people whould remind from where and how he came to the seat which he is seated at present. It didnt come in an overnight. It came after a lot of protests and a lot of damage to the public properties.

Maldivian Police Force has started arresting people from everywhere

Police has been chasing the crowd of protesters beating anyone who catches on their way, running after the public screaming and using modern vehicles, tear gas and pepper spray.

Several Maldivians were badly beaten up and arrested by Maldives Police tonight after they staged a demonstration in the capital to protest over the risen prices of general goods. Reports say that police attacked the protestors soon after they began their protest march from Chaandhany Maidhaan area around 11.30 this evening. Police was able to disperse the crowd near MMA but soon they converged near Customs from where police arrested even more people, after beating them up quite badly, according to eyewitness. People also confirmed that many youngsters and women were also among those arrested. "People were thrown into a lorry, while many were  screaming with pain",

Group of Young men belongs to the ruling party MDP has targeted to burn places. This is to worsten the scenario, and to make Police beat the protesters. This has been going on badly on every protest which the oposition initiates. The truth is that MDP cannot digest the demonstartions against them.

Reports confirms that Police force has now reached the new harbour area and several others  were arrested and some have been taken to hospital as they have been badly injured.

The Nation is going through a very rough and tough time.

Protesters and Police starts a BIG FIGHT near Local Market / Customs

It has been beleived that some gangs have came into the forefront of the protest and have been fighting against the police. This has started, as the police attacked the general peaceful protesters.

It's also beleived that some places in the capital city has been burned by the protesters. At the sametime, Presdient Nasheed orders the police to arrest anyone they can who is seen on any road. Police doesnt even care about women and children. They have been beating and arresting everyone who comes their way.

Maldives has been a peaceful country and this problem started only after the presidency of President Nasheed.

People Starts Gathering Near Maldives Monetary Authority

People who have been protesting against the President Nasheed due to increase of prices on General Goods, has started gathering near the Maldives Monetary Authority as the police attacked the innocent people with tear gas and there power. Police have been beating people for no reason. The truth is that the prices has risen and the government has to listen to this.

Maldivian Youth protests against the government for the 3rd Day

There are thousands of people gathered with anger against the current government due to increasing prices of general goods in the country. Food Prices has risen 50%, while the basic need Electricity and other utilities such as water and others have risen to 40% in recent times.

This wasn't what the people wanted while voting to the President Nasheed during the presidential election in 2008. People wanted a change with good things and with high hopes. But that didnt come true in any mean. The poor has been more poorer since Mr. Nasheed came into power.

The Presdient Nasheed's objective and ambition was to be a world famous leader. So, his is doing his best to follow the theory of been a known personality.

1. Mr. Nasheed wanted him to be among the Hero's on CNN
2. Mr. Nasheed wanted Maldives to be a green country and to be the Global president.

For the above two reason's he have been doing his best in all the ways he can to be on the top of the leaders.

He promised the people that the prices of things will be affordable to the general public, people will never have to beg from others for anything. Health, Education...etc But today what we see is not what he promised. Not even what we thought we would be seeing in our life.

Nothing is affordable here and anyone who says anything against President Nasheed is arrested.  Police plays a very bad role in maintaining the President nasheed in power. Drugs has increased among the youth, the crime rate has increased 150% in recent 2 years. People fear to go out of their homes, we have lost the people's smile, people's freedom.

The youth of Maldives started the Protest on 1st May 2011 to make the government listen to what the people of Maldives need. We cannot afford the prices of any of our general needs. The salaries of government employees has been reduced, while many of government employees has been removed from civil service to private/public companies.

Now, we are seeing what the real face of President Nasheed. Police attacked the public whil ethey were empty handed. Police used tear gas, pepper spray against the innocent peaceful protesters. Not even leaving to that extent. The police arrested morethan 44 people including women and children aged 16 for being near the protest location. Some of the neighbours living in close to the protesting area was badly beaten by the Police under the order of President Nasheed.
